James Jebaseelan Samuel, Admission Officer, VIT University, said that Delhi had a maximum of 15 centres, with over 11,600 candidates taking the examination.

In Tamil Nadu, the examination was held in Vellore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchi, Tirunelveli and Salem. The examination was held in five centres in Chennai. Out of the 2,626 candidates who had applied for taking the examination at Vellore, 2,533 appeared for the test.

Undergraduate program-mes offered by the VIT University comprised three under the School of Biotechnology, Chemical & Biomedical Engineering (SBCBE) – B.Tech. in biotechnololgy, bioinfo-rmatics and biomedical engineering, four under the School of Mechanical and Building Sciences (SMBS) – B.Tech. in mechanical engineering, mechanical and energy engineering, civil engineering and chemical engineering, three under the School of Electrical Sciences (SES) – B Tech. in electrical and electronics engineering (EEE), electronics and communication engineering (ECE) and electronics and instrumentation engineering (EIE), and two under the School of Computing Sciences (SCS)— B.Tech. in computer science and engineering (CSE) and Information Technology.

VIT Chancellor G Viswanathan supervised the examination at the Jaipur centre, Pro-Chancellor Sekar Viswanathan at the Dubai centre and Pro-Chancellor G V  Selvam at the Chandigarh centre. The Admission Officer and Murugas-undaramoorthy, professor of mathematics in the School of Science and Humanities, supervised the examination in the VIT University, the lone centre in Vellore. Results on or before May 9.
